They did the same thing for me Birth control suppose to regulate it. (If its out of line or heavy) and trust me it doesnt work - hasnt worked for 6 years. Ive recently had to stop taking birth control. For some reason it was causing me to flareup

yep totally me I puke my guts out for the week its like having really bad flu for a week sometimes more straight, plus on top of that I have the pains down there that feels like someone kicked me in the gut below the belly button ughh
on top of that I usually get it about a week early always or a week late I am never on a steady schedule sometimes I get it in 3 weeks or less sometimes 5 weeks sometimes but very rarely does it ever come on the day that I calculate maybe once in the past 5 years has it ever come on time LOL

Rose you want to see Dr. Gwizdal, she is the best. I was still in the military when I saw her, so not sure if you need to be referred. I would call her office to see if you need a referral from your family doctor to see her. If so, demand that your Doctor refers you for an appointment. I would not leave their office until they did. As women, we have to be really really really pushy when it comes to our health.

There is normally a bit of a waiting list, but she is well worth it.

are they in picton?! or kingston? either way I doubt it matters LOL I just want someone to check it out and make sure it isnt anything and see what I can do to be able to live through working while on it cause this week when I do get it is going to be hell since I have to work no one else to cover for me so I'm screwed LOL

Rose -- If Tick has a great doctor in your area, you should definately try to get an appointment with her! Like she said, call her office and ask if you can see her directly, and if not, go in to your GP and DEMAND that you get a referral. Do not take no for an answer. Say something along the lines of.. 'I know my own body, and I want to see a specialist who can give me some options outside of birth control pills'.
It is hard to do the first time, but after that its a breeze! LOL
You could get diagnosed with Dysmenorrhea, like Ricki said, but that is kinda like getting diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.. It is just putting a name to the fact that you have "pain of unknown origin". They tend to put Dysmennorrheic patients on something called NSAID drugs (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) but be careful with that.. they can relieve the pain you are currently having but have long-term side effects.
I would try to see the specialist, and ask if you can be evaluated for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) and any other abnormalities of the uterus and ovaries. PCOS patients tend to have an extreme amount of pain before, during and after their periods.
Make sure you are taking a really good multivitamin, as well as some kind of omega-3 vitamin. Lots of correlation between lack of fatty acids and dysmenorrhea.

is there anything else I can do in the meantime to survive through work when I get it this month?! I'm supposed to thursday well thats my week early deadline I'm not actually supposed to get it till next thursday but I calculate and expect it early since thats when it usually comes and idk what to do for this week i have tons of extra strength tylenol in my purse even though it never helps but it helps a tiny bit for the cramps at least...idk if there is anything I can do about the flu like symptoms I get with it i.e throwing up fun fun

That insurance company sounds crooked to me, they knew they weren't paying your bills but still took your money? How frickin under handed.

Surely there is someone in a governmental position that could help you and your family out? Your hubby is Canadian, he should contact his MPP They should be able to tell him whom to talk to and may even be able to talk to certain agencies on his behalf?

I'm at a loss at what is going on. No one thought of telling you there was a problem until now......yet our country seems to bend over backwards for illegal immigrants, this kind of stuff just burns my butt.

ok thanks closer than I thought! Last time my mom complained about the weird mole on my left breast he sent me to Kingston to a dermatologist...yes it actually took my mom complaining too before I got a referral LOL I think I was 14 but it was benign.

Ok, I finally have 5 minutes to sit down, and I need to ask all of you for some prayers! You might have noticed I'm not my usual chatty self lately.. First, nothing is wrong with the baby, in case that is your immediate thought. She is just fine, though I cannot say when she'll be arriving. I think they might have my due date pretty wrong, since I am contracting all the time!

Anyway.. We've been having some pretty hard to deal with issues lately. For any of you that don't know, I'm not a Canadian resident yet, technically. I moved here a few years ago, and applied for Permanent Residency. My application was re-submitted a bit more than a year ago, since there were some issues with the fact that I applied "the wrong way" and should have applied as Sponsored by my husband. That is why my immigration is taking so long.

When I moved here, I had previously been working in the states for the US Postal service, as well as in a hospital. My health insurance was really good, so I applied to keep it using a program they have for that kind of thing, and I pay around $3k a year to keep it up. It functions like traveler's insurance, and up till now I haven't had any problems with it.

There is really only one hospital here in London that delivers babies. I go there for all my appointments, since they have a women's OB clinic there as well. I got a call from the hospital a little more than a month ago, saying they had an issue with me. They said that my 2nd daughter's birth had never been paid for by my insurance. This boggled my mind, since she is almost 2, and I've not heard of this till now?? So they suddenly say that because I am not a permanent resident yet, they are refusing me any kind of treatment at the hospital until I pay my outstanding bill. Well, come to find out, my insurance has been refusing ALL my bills since Monet's birth, and I owe around $16,000!!! (This includes my emergency gallbladder surgery) This is NOT the worst part.

The worst part is... apparently, according to the provincial government, they can consider deporting me for non-payment of my bills at the hospital. You are not supposed to rack up debt you cannot afford to pay in the province where you reside while you are waiting for approval of your permanent residency application. It is pretty clearly stated in all the application forms. They don't want to hear that I didn't know it was happening, they just know that it exists, and I am in clear violation of the rules.

The insurance company has been refusing the bills because I apparently didn't follow THEIR rules for certain types of "Claim submission", and my lawyer says that it is very evident that they are not required to pay. He's tried everything, but you all probably know how stateside insurance companies work.

Sooo.. we paid back about $6500 of the bills so far, but we need to come up with the rest before the beginning of August, or I can be deported. That is when the statute requires them to wait until, and I know they'll never give me even one extra day. They also CAN refuse to deliver this baby at the hospital, but the nurses in the maternity ward have ASSURED me they will not do it, that they will deliver the baby no matter what. I don't know what we'd do if they didn't all like me and agree that it was insane to deny me if I was in labor.. I can't go into the states right now, or they will not allow me back into Canada because of my status.

So anyway.. any prayers you can spare in our direction are very appreciated. Just typing all this out has made me feel a bit better... You guys are the closest thing to family I have! My husband's family is all kinda crazy, and I only have about 3 people left in my family, and that number includes my crazy brother and his fruity wife

Funny thing how they - forget - to mention these types of bills. I had this last year (not as big of an amount only a few thousand) when they couldnt figure out what was wrong and I told them told them to do any tests just figure out what was wrong. Well all the docs said they were covered yet they werent (Except Im a citizen and if you cry they feel sorry for you).

What a bunch of tool. Ill beat them down if you promise to beat my doctor down (sounds like a fair trade).

We ll all be praying for you. We dont need to be loosing a family memeber. Who would give us advice Im pretty sure they cant turn you away at the hospital ever. There was this court case going on about a yr or two similar issues.
