I voted, too.

What a weekend here. We went to Port Hope for a family dinner yesterday and came home to more water in the basement Not an excessive amount, but enough that I had to do laundry because of the blankets and towels I had to use to clean it up.

Then today right after lunch we went for a walk (DS, DH and I) and got stuck in the POURING rain. It was a lot of rain and nice big raindrops. By the time we got home, everyone had to strip at the front door on the way in. Get this, as soon as we walked in the door, the rain stopped . It was fun, though. DS didn't care in the least bit that we were getting wet!!

Yesterday I overdid it. No, I didn't work too hard - we were just out for most of the day and then DH and I went to a party last night. I didn't drink (obviously), but I feel like I did all day yesterday. Oh, well. By tomorrow I should be better.

We also need to get a plumber in tomorrow now . We were trying to get the spout off of the tub so that I could soak it in CLR (the diversion piece was getting really hard to pull out and push in for the shower), and we broke the copper off right at the elbow. Now we can finally get the leak that we've had for 3.5 years fixed in the cold water tap . Oh, well. What do you do? It's a necessary evil when you own a house, I guess.

Anyways, I hope everyone had a great weekend. Oh, and thanks for the words over the weekend

Woohoo I am home finally!!! lol had a good time enjoyed my visit with my kids but I am so happy to be home! Thanks for all the words everyone. Hugs good to be back will catch up with the posts tomorrow

Had a fun day watching the lightning (and listening to the LOUD thunder). The dog enjoyed the lightning, so all was well. The only problem was the rain that came with it - silly creature refused to go out and get her feet wet.

I'll be back later - gotta go wash my dishes now. I stupidly got it into my head to make a large batch of a potato dish I like, so I can have "frozen dinners" on days I don't feel like cooking. Only now I'm too tired to do the clean up. & as much as I'm tempted, the critters are not washing the dishes.
