Vote 128 for Steph in memory of Scooby.
I lost my Maltese, Bijou, on Jan 3, 2009. He had a convulsion and died the same day Tripp Travolta died of the same thing.
I was on craigslist and saw the cutest yorkie on Jan 13 and he spoke to me. He has one leg that doesn't bend. The rescuers said it was a birth defect, I had to give him his fur-ever home and he was home on Jan 15, 2009.
It wasn't a birth defect. My vet said Limp Biskit's tiny leg was broken and no one took him to a vet. He was only 5 months old when I adopted him.
He's safe now and he's fine he runs he climbs he jumps...he's a holy terror, as a matter of fact. LOL.
I have a puppymill rescue bichon frise person, too. Candie spent 3 1/2 years standing on wires having babies for her master to sell. Her has learned to be a beloved pet in 3 years. She is so sweet.

I'm so sorry to hear about Bijou. That must have been so hard to see and not be able to help him. I hope your heart is on the mend. We never, ever, ever forget them, but just hope that in time it starts to hurt a little less.

Limp Biskit!! Love the name! Awful that his leg was broken. Stuff like that always shows up at the Brantford SPCA... it astounds me the cruel things that people can do. That's awesome he's flourished into a holy terror. lol.

Schultz, our Dane rescue, has split rear paws. We believe he basically grew up on wire crate, was used as a stud dog, and then was left to starve to death. Poor Candie. Glad she has a fur-ever home now with love!

Bijou died the last day of my vacation. I would have been at work and would have found him dead and would never have known what had happened. I held him and talked to him to try and calm him. I was taking him to the vet and he was gone. He was 11 1/2, much too young to die.

Biskit is into everything loves toys, shredding paper, tissues. Candie is slowly coming out of her shell because of him. He sits with her on her bed. He no longer tries to mount her (she's fixed of course). She told him off royally. They do keep each other company, which is fantastic.

I love your big doggies, Steph. Schultz is so beautiful. They do get splayed feet from the wire cages. Candie still doesn't do steps and doesn't walk on a leash. She stands there and stares at me. She does warn me when Biskit gets into something he shouldn't. LOL
