Haha! I luvs Stack the Cats... I am the #1 high score, doncha know (At the moment! lol) And of course I came to vote for you, it is the last day!
My gallbladder shouldn't be too bad... it is a small organ attached to your bile duct right below your liver. It processes stomach bile, but is not a "necessary to life function" kind of organ. LOTS of people get it removed, mostly women, especially in the year after having a baby. It is located just below your liver. Some people's bodies just start producing "Stones" inside of it (for many reasons.. hormones, weight gain or loss, etc) and it causes problems. The stones get caught in the opening of the gallbladder and cause TREMENDOUS pain.
I am glad to be having the surgery because I have been in Emergency 2x in the past month because of pain. It is a day surgery (meaning that I will be in and out in the same day barring complications) and requires minimal invasion (4 small incisions).
The only thing that worries me is the anasthesia, but besides that I will be happy to have it gone!
I'm sure I'll be just dandy I'm a nurse, so not much bothers me unless its huge surgery..
I am so excited you are still in the lead. It sounds like a great prize

I'm glad u explained all that. the only thing i had to have done after having my son, (c-section too) was a hernia operation. which the dr tried to tell me was NOT caused by carrying a large baby.. LARGE? hell he was 11 pounds! i had a hole in me where all my intestines worked their way out, so i had this huge belly, and everything was like wet noodles, i could not go to the bathroom, was no pressure there, it was miserable! and other than that, i had a "staghorn" kidney stone, so i can relate to the pain. i missed my own graduation from highschool, in '89? i believe it was because it got so big, and i ended up with a 104 degree fever. *shudder*
the hernia i was in and out, the kidney stone thing was all a blurr, i know they sent me home on weekend, and i had to go right back in, because the infection didn't go til they sent me to have it blasted 3 times. i had a huge bruise on my back, sore sore sore, and the morphine was useless!
so thank you for thinking of me lolcat. i was wonderin where u was at.
if you go to the arcade section of this site. (should be at the top). then there are some games, and others under the alphabet, just pick S and scroll through, you'll see one that says something like Play STACK THE CATS.
gl! it's fun, and addictive.

I have seen several women with the same thing you are describing, or close, and always after having a very large baby (I had a 7lb and a 8lb, so I cannot imagine 11lb!) Being a maternity nurse I can tell you... your pregnancy totally DID cause that issue for you, and that doctor is a moron. *sigh* I wish I could give everyone the great doctors I have worked for in the past, but there are some real bad doctors floating around out there
Good luck NS.. I am going to bed now, but I will be up bright and early to vote just in case tomorrow counts as a voting day too
*hugs*
