Kekes, I am SO sorry that you lost your pet. That is a hurt that only someone who has lost their own pet can understand. The Rainbow Bridge is a very lovely way to put it. Hang in there.
I really appreciate all of the words and send my thanks to all of you who posted them!

oh Kekes, I am so sorry! I can only imagine what you are going through. Each year that passes we worry that Tabby, the one in the contest will have to be put down. She's about 18, or maybe more.. and it's so sad because we've had them so long it's hard to imagine a day that they're not with us. Just you sharing the word of your loss with us proves that this thread is about more than words. We're like family here, we cheer thru the good times, and we suport each other thru the rough patches.
We'll be here for you as you work through this heartache and get to the point where you can remember red riding and smile at her memory.
[quote=Shannaniganz;384208]I'm not sure if everyone saw the email but there is yet another Pet Photo Contest through She Knows in the Family Corner section!
Here is the link to the email: http://www.familycorner.com/newslett...-contest.shtml
I signed up!
My entries are called:
Solace Livin' the Phat Life
&
Super Cheeba
&
Miko Reading (same pic that I entered in the charismatic cat contest)
good stuff, but with all the stress of this contest on me, i don't think i'll be entering any anytime soon!
Shennan...make sure that the contest rules state that you can have multiple entries from the SAME EMAIL! in the cat one, multiple entries were allowed but had to be from different emails.
and! put your direct contest link for both of your entries into your siggy. then we'll make sure we vote and it'll be easier on us forgetful ones!
del: they did not remove posts, my computer is not refreshing pages..i had a lead of over 500 points!!!!
and no i never heard back from SK yet on the contest rules. keep your fingers crossed that i don't get disqualified. I was open, honest and direct. I din't think i had a hope in hey of winning the contest. and with all you guys to support me, creating multiple emails would be the last thing i would do to win. so hopefully they know those accounts are legit (hell, there was points redeemed on those accts! and sent to my mom's home address)
so we'll see. keep fingers crossed, and i want to thank everyone for supporting me, staying up allnight last night! and yes, if i win, BBQ!!! BYOB!!! oh and for those who asked, i don't think we'll know til they post july 8. more waiting argh, i hate that!Last edited by NSangel; Wed, Jul 2nd, 2008 at 12:17 AM. Hey guys! Happy Canada Day! (a bit late, we took the munchkins to fireworks, yay!)
Congratulations NSANGEL! You totally won, and I super doubt they would take it away on the basis of what you've explained. They seem like pretty nice people over there from the few times I've dealt with them.
KeKes I am so sorry to hear about your pet Wish I could give a huge hug.
Thank you Kitty77 for the good wishes. I'll be in on the 7th, and out the same day so I'll let you all know how it went

NSAngel, congrats! I think its pretty safe to call you the winner!
lolcat, sending prayers and goodvibes your way. Believe me,I felt like a new person, when I recovered from the surgery! I had horrendous attacks, and, when I woke up after surgery, I felt different, didn't realize how sick it was making me feel, till it was gone. mine was just one huge ball, and it was so diseased that the outer part was tearing, so they had to chip chunks off mine to remove it, bruised up my insides in the process, lol. and still, it was just a miracle for me. I'd do it again. I said that it was worse than Labor, because with Labor, it only attacks once,(per child, usually) and its predictable, I had the gallbladder attacks at random, for four years, was told it was a pinched nerve in my back. After eating broccoli and going to the emergency room, a doctor told me its gallbladder, and broccoli will trigger an attack! and, at least with labor you get to take home a beautiful little baby! Let us know how you feel afterwards!
I have to check out stack the cats, it sounds so fun!

my neigbhour JUST had gallbladder surgury friday, he was showing us his incision. nothing to it. they used some kinda steri strips or sumthing? anyway, he's up and about, and just the incision is bugging him. guess it would be itchy. but no pain or nothing inside.

I keep saying that to my husband about how it hurts as much as labor, and keeps making me feel sicker and sicker, and I don't even get anything as good as a precious little baby from it. I am thinking of telling the doctor to give me the gallbladder to take home so I can burn it. I love being a wife and a mom, but let me tell you, women get the terrible, sharp pointy end of the stick when it comes to health problems. I couldn't imagine looking forward to a surgery before this, but like you said Canjen, I cannot WAIT. By the way, your avatar photo of your daughter is freaking ADORABLE!!
Goodnight all.. maybe I can stay off the arcade tonight but I doubt it
