darn, crazy me, that video is the link of my previous signature (it is so cute, I admit). I have corrected the link now - it should now be the photo I submitted to the contest on BT. Just want to show it to everybody as my sister is my pride

Trebleclef so good to hear about your dog, hope it's health stays good. My oldest daughter just go married this winter and 1 month before the wedding when we had to make all the final payments were due our oldest dog needed emergency surgery. Was not a good cash flow time for us but $2700.00 well spent. Buddy has been around through everything and we weren't ready to give up on the old guy (he's 14) until nothing could be done for him. Some people thought we were crazy for spending that but he's really a member of the family. Don't worry about beeing from the U.S. doesn't matter to me.

**Off Topic #2** Sorry!

Thank you all for the kind words! Wiggles is a Lab mix. He was a throw-away puppy--some mean person dumped him out of their car on a very cold Dec. day. He's been my baby ever since, and is a sweetheart. Lyme Disease is a tick-borne illness. We don't know if he contracted it from a tick bite, or from eating a rabbit or squirrel that had an infected tick on it. Yep, that's right--he's a country dog, and chases and catches rabbits and squirrels. Ticks are a major problem here during the summer, and it is very difficult to keep them off of dogs who run in the fields and woods.

Now, here is a confession from me, and I hope that it doesn't make any of you upset, but I live in the southern US. (Please don't throw things...) I found SC when I was looking for P&P words. Everyone is so friendly and nice here that after lurking for several months, I decided to join. I hope that is OK. If not, I understand, but I really would like to continue participating in this wonderful forum. SC is the first place I go to when I sign onto the web. Is it permissable for this southern belle to be an honorary Smart Canuck?

There are other people from the US on this forum. We'll keep you.

I don't know how anyone can get rid of dogs or cats like that. I'm glad you found Wiggles. Is that Wiggles in your avatar? He's sweet. I have a soft spot for animals. I have four spoiled cats.

hey guys, I seem to get lost among posts. Well I suppose we create a sticky sub-thread in this P&P thread for all direct links to voting contest (currently familycorner) so that we could vote for all and not miss anyone. Otherwise, we create another threads in the Contest section - sticky thread of Need vote - and subthread for FamilyCorner contest - something like that. It also helps if the guidelines for voting is given, eg. daily or weekly, how many votes are allowed per account per day, etc.
After the Cat contest, NSAngel and others must have a lot of expertise and can give a lot of ideas, ok?

i don't know squat. i don't know a thing about stickys... the *ahem* senior canucks can figure out how to do the threads (and then pls let us know here).

as for the contest.. that last one from family pets photo one, wow. i donno.. i can't make heads or tails of any of it (no pun intended).

but i would encourage a way of listing all the contests so we can support our own. i've been bookmarking them, under this crazy thing i found on the racheal ray website when i tried to save a recipe, it used this crazy thing called del.icio.us anyway, i click on it and it saves my pages for me (probably like mie) but i can acess them easier. my mie bookmarks, look like a bad trainwreck, i have so many subfiles and pages saved, i couldn't find anything if my life depended on it.

but if i can help in any way, just let me know!
