Ike is supposed to hit land around 1 am central time, last I heard near Galveston, Texas. The storm is so massive (as large as the whole state of Texas) & the big concern is the flooding & storm surge. This is one bad hurricane.

Wow that sounds really bad, my mom lives in the states, but she lives in North Carolina. I always worry about hurricanes and such.

I know, I'm still trying to learn everybody. Just checked in on the weather channel & it looks like the whole state of Louisiana is under tornado watches & warnings. The outer bands are beginning to reach the shores in Texas, but the eye will probably not come ashore until after midnight.

Yeah, Houston is starting to flood they are sayign no driving at night. seek shelter. IT's almost Cat 3 it's at 110 mph winds they say it can get higher. My dauhgters sperm donar is there, with her half sisters. He ahsnt' called her.....She keep scalling him and is going nutz... Jenny is in OK, that is north of texas and to the east.
