When I first brough Quincy in, he was a tiny black & white ball of fluff, who would attack if you went near him (think Cujo). I had him a couple of weeks before he trusted me enough to be touched gently, so no way to tell gender. I was convinced he was a girl because of his delicate features. Even the vet wasn't able to check when he went in for an exam and shots (he didn't stop squirming).

A week after his first shots, I took him in for his "spay". When I went to pick him up, the vet tech took me aside and said, "I have good news and bad news. Your bill is going to be considerably less than we quoted." I had visions of a half butchered cat who'd woken up during surgery. "I hope you don't mind," she continued, "but your boy is a girl."

Argh! That *should* read, "Your girl is a boy."

I should stop trying to post before I feed the zoo. It's very hard to concentrate with someone screaming in your ear.

hahahaha Andit, that's great! We had the same thing happen to our "male" cockteil, Al. We took "him" in for a checkup only for our vet to bring "him" out and announce he had changed his name to Allie.

On a happier nots, I just finished voting agian. Looks like Gwen and Ryan are duking it out. I vote for mine and I go up, I vote for NS's and I go back down. LOL.

It does look like we are all on the first 3 pages now. When is this going to end??? It takes me almost 10 mins to vote for everyone, and every time I vote my team leader walks by.
