wow, kitty naming contest! how about TIGER?

i like giving pets fierce names, esp dogs, made them sound big and not worth messing around with, hehe.
i used to have a dog named BRUNO but actually he was really such a small doggie, half-jap spitz so really small, and just made yip yip barks, lol.

so the winds kicked up a bit, some rain, halifax is worse than lwr sackville..oops spoke too soon..that was a big gush. i have a monstrous ash in the back yard..it is swaying. it's sister tree had already had the top in the neigbhours yard during Juan, my neighbours hate me for not chopping the other one down.

i figure it survived Juan, and it'll be another 100 years til we see a hurricane like that again (probably), so it deserves to live right?

but now..swaying to the left..swaying to the right..omg. i shoulda just chopped the fooker down.

what else? oh my mom, ya the only news she's into lately is that missing child. (which one? i fugget, the one where the mother is spewing all kinds of crazy tales). sad. but she is obsessed.

during Juan she sat in the livingroom, completely oblivious to it all. took her 2 blocks up her road afterwards, to see the army had partictioned off the worst part of halifax. every 5th house had a tree on it's roof. she was shocked. but she wouldn't go stay with anyone. not even after she lost power for a week.
stubborn woman. and she thinks i'm stubborn because if i'm just under the weather, i'll cook a meal for my hubby that works 7 days a week, 8 hours a day, 16 on saturday. she's nuts.

so ryan and i watched "independence day". the other day was mib 1. mib 2. he gets a kick outta will smith. gotta find wild wild west..that's another good one.

hubby is mad, cause he's working and we're doing his favorite pasttime. he's a movie buff.

OH. i went to sobeys, (i'm not a full contact shopper), but i was armed with a tonne of coupons, some age old wisdom from SC (use 2 coupons during BOGOS), an airmiles card, AAAAND, a coupon, that if i spend $50 or more i get 10% off.

ok what did she get? (i know wrong thread, shoot me, move me i don't care)

and to top it all off. sobeys overcharged me for the glad cling wrap. 2/5.00 mine rang in 2.99. i called them. so they KNOW! now tommorrow i'll get that free thanks to SCOP.

i spent like $75, and figured i saved $107!!!!!!

then it was off to superstore. not much there, lean hamburger, flour, saved some $$$.

i couldn't have done it w/o that g/c. money is tight this week.

I think the worse of the hurricane is over in our area as well. Apparently up Yarmouth, Barrington, Shelbourne, Cape Sable Island and those place got it much worse! Trees down and all. We barely have much wind blowing right now and it's not pouring, just raining a little but, it could still start up anytime! The eye is already over us!

So, we still have power and at the rate the wind is going now, we shouldn't lose it anytime soon! Lights haven't blinked at all either but am about ready to go to bed! I'm knackere!
