I thought ryan was good for 12 days straight. who was i
kidding? A young mother came to the door, it started 2 weeks
ago, her 2 boys and mine were playing with sticks. (being
boys she said). but since then he has been picking on her 2,
and yesterday and today, both at lunchtime swore up an down
at her ...Fthis..Fthat..and saying stuff to her kids like: your mom can't defend
herself. (not threatening to use his tkd, but he may as well
have been.
so now i'm fit to be TIED. i have one hour to calm down and
dish out punishment. loses toy #2, has to earn that back
since he bought it with allowance he did not earn. no video
games at all this weekend. (he doesn't get them through the week.)
no tv for 2 days (2 days bad, 2 days no tv). so he won't get that til saturday.
which i think is the biggest punishment of all, because he watches it at lunchtime. and he will remember at lunchtime why he isn't watching it, so when he walks up to school, hopefully it will jive when he sees them.
plus i'm going to get him to appologize in person, i have her address. but i'm going to meet him up at school and hopefully we'll run into her on way home. and get that part out of the way.
and i want him to know how silly he's going to look having his mother walking him back and forth on acct of his behaviour.
and he's not getting my cellphone anymore. if he's going to go around asking for trouble, then he can deal with it when it finds him.

NS - I can give you my EX's phone number. I am sure he would be able to tell what kind of punishment to deal out.
Me bad. I know.

Ns - i know about kids acting out, my son seems to think its ok to hit and scream these days, so as of yesterday night, was getting the kids to bed when he was angry and hit me just as my dh walked in the door..needless to say he lost tv and videogames for awhile..lol..im hoping its a faze though and he grows out of it or something...as he is usually a very quiet agreeable boy, he was having issues at school as well though ...but hopefully we have that figured out.....im dreading the teen years...lol

Hey peeps! How are you all doing? First of all, thanks for all the words, rep and good/well wishes! Very sweet of all of you
I logged into my P & P account and I have over 100,000 points missing!!! Has anyone else checked their balances? It must be a glitch or something but it's scary! Let me know if anyone else is having the same problem!
So sorry to hear of all the ones that still aren't feeling good. Indeed it is a nasty one. I just had to take a Tylenol 3 with codeine as I was sure my head was going to explode to bits and pieces as I had a humungus headache. It seems to be getting a little better now. I went back to the doctor yesterday as my husband hadn't been feeling good lately. We've tested his sugar with one of my client's glucose meter and each time, it was in the 9's. He felt nauseous, tired and was sweating all 3 times. But two nights ago, it was 9.8 and he was feeling REALLY sick. So, we went to the oncall doctor yesterday which is actually our doctor so we were lucky. He got him all set up with his own meter, strips and needles. He's not diagnosed "diabetic" yet but is borderline. Both his parents and his grandparents all had it and he's always known that it wasn't a question of "will he get it" but rather "when he gets it". So, he's also hypoglycemic (low sugar) but has high too. He's not feeling well at 4.8 and he's not feeling good at 9.1 so he's got a very SMALL margin as you see. Also, he has crystals in his urineHe's had a kidney stone before so that really scared him as he does NOT want another one. He ended up in Halifax by ambulance for emergency surgery with his kidney stone
So, while at the doctors, I told him I still wasn't feeling 100% and told him of my HUGE headaches I've been experiencing and feeling "clogged" up in my sinus area even though I have no difficulty breathing through my nose, odd I know! So, he gave me a free nasal spray and told me to take Sudafed but I don't find either of them are working and this afternoon was THE worse headache so far which is why I took codeine (which I'm allergic to and makes me puke so I just filled my gut with ham I made lastnight). Other than that, life is beautiful!
We've always known that Shaun would be diabetic so we've been expecting it for some time now. It's always a drastic shock when you find out about it but Shaun has grown up in a family where everyone was. Luckily, as the doctor said, Shaun has warning signs of his sugar being low/high which he's very fortunate as many people don't. Even though the results for his AC1 were good, he will now need to be tested for his AC1 every 3 months (which is good). The doctor feels that it can be controlled by diet which may help prevent it to escalate. Unfortunately his mom waited till she was almost blind to do something about it. He's doing something about it now.
NS-Sorry you have to go through this with Ryan but you ARE doing the right thing. I know I don't have any children and many people think that people who don't have any shouldn't voice their opinion but I beg to differ! I was brought up by a VERY strict father and I know if I were a parent, I would be extremely strict. It's the only way to be. Ryan will appreciate this some day when he gets older. And he will also let you know that he now understands why you were that strict. You have to set rules and once they are set, you must follow them. I think you're being a great mom and although you may be short to lose your temper, he is pressing buttons he knows he should NOT be pressing.
I know this is long but I hadn't written much in a while as I've been busy and haven't been feeling so hot.
Enjoy your "hump night" everyone!Last edited by PetiteFemme; Wed, Oct 1st, 2008 at 04:03 PM.

thanks am bringing her a resume tomorrow morning cause she wanted to give me an interview today when i was complaining about the other job haha
but i think this one that i just had the interview for would be killer...you have to dress up you cant wear running shoes they have to be dressy preferably with a heel...wtf? I'm like 5'8'' I dont own heels! ok not true I have two pairs one was my prom shoes the other I wear sometimes but not often...you cant wear anything that has a hood on it doesnt matter how thin or what it looks like you cant wear it, and you can only wear certain pairs of jeans if you wear jeans to work so i would basically have to go buy all new clothes just to work there...where my friend works she said they dont care what you show up wearing as long as you show up LOL
ohh and the girl giving me the interview haha she asks me do you have any visible tattoos or piercings...was ready to ask her do you see any visible tattoos or piercings? LOL but ya you cant have those either and its a JEWELLERY STORE and i can only wear my two sets of earrings if my hair is down if its up i have to take out a set...which i cant do because my ears like to grow in during the day if i take earrings out so that wont happen ever they wanted me to take them out at tim hortons when i worked there too but i lied and told them i just had them done and cant take them out LOL
ok im done rantinganyways they are supposed to call monday to tell me whether or not i got the job but hoping that i can actually get my resume in tomorrow to the place my friend works at and get an interview and the job before monday so i can tell these other people sorry already got a job LOL
