ryan's XO at cadets has been stationed in Africa. and wont' be back until dec 22. ryan emailed him last night, and he was happy to hear from him. said he doesn't get much news from home and he misses the kids.

I want to do SOMETHING to show how much our members are appreciated. I passed the info along to ryan's school, to see if some kids wanted to send an email. but i donno if the school will bother.

any other ideas?

Get a card and small gift to send NS. THen have ryan and the other kids sign the card. I know military people are often sent small care packages. you could send some of those little drink mix packets, Something like crackers, or cookies, soap deoderant, dental floss. Cant think of what else they suggest.

Haven't been around much as per my last post about the family rallying around my cousin who was diagnosed with breast cancer last week. Another cousin has stepped up to be the taxi for a few days to give me a break, so I have a chance to post and give some rep.

I am Debra, retired now after 25 years in the military. I have 5 furkids; 4 dogs one cat. I have 1 brother, who is an undertaker, and a half sister, who is married to a Newf. I live in Cherry Valley on 2.5 acres in an old farmhouse very close to the shore line of Soup Harbor an inlet of Lake Ontario, about 5 minutes from the Sandbanks. I am a spinster I guess as I have never been married and have no human children (that I know of). 2nd generation Canadian born in TO. Oh and I make siggies

my mom is going through this right now, she has started chemo now and we are going wig shopping on thursday. Not exactly what i want to shop for but will be there for support.
