Exactly Prue! I beleive we even have rules about correcting brand new members (See SC related section for a bunch of conduct rules, and some interested tibits about gifts, rep power, etc! ).

As for reposted words, from what I can tell it does not hurt anything if you try a word that has already been posted. Every time I have come across a word that I have previously entered, it just says I've already entered that word and so I simply move on to the next one. I think its great that people take the time to come here and post words when they find them and imho if its been posted before so what? Its not as though there we are penalized for trying to enter a duplicate word and I would much rather see people post a duplicate word trying to be helpful than have them not post at all out of concern it could be a repost!

I have to agree with you prue. This is a wonderful board and it is great that ppl are trying to help with this section. I sometimes post words here and I personally never enter them...so maybe the ppl who have posted words that have already been posted are just trying to help.

jodew71, SC's concept is for everyone to deal with others in a nice friendly manner and look at the positive side of things. Bcteagirl or any other member had duplicate words... what were her intentions?
Was she trying to waste your time? No.
Was she trying to annoy you? No.
She simply tried helping and sharing with others and we're humans and we make mistakes.

If I may, my comments are not to stir up or upset anyone, but perhaps a simple kind reminder to scan through the pages in this thread prior to posting - Especially for all those who are new to Points & Prizes - not only would doing so help eliminate duplicates but for the newbies, there are a TON of words that you guys can benefit from just by reviewing older pages.

What I do is I bookmark the last place I left off in this thread and then I update my favourites each day so it makes it easier to follow through the pages. I scan through it all and record the words that are new to me and post the words that are new to everyone else and avoid the ones that have already been posted.

Reposts are bound to happen, and the help is MUCH appreciated but if we all take the extra time (to scan, to post expiries, value, & to include more words into a post as opposed to individual posts) then it would help keep this thread a bit more organized and we'd all be less likely to miss valuable words.


For those new to P&P, don't feel discouraged, as mentioned the help and your participation in this thread (repost or not) is much appreciated. It takes a bit to get the hang of things from the start.

I just started with She Knows yesterday, and I'm soooo grateful to anyone who posts words. I tried for over two hours and only came up with two words, so any help at all is most welcome.

Reposts don't really bother me, because sometimes I miss things the first time around. That goes for all forums ... freebies, contests, etc.

Soooo ... a sincere thanks to all who contribute .... without your help, I'd be totally lost.
