Seeing as I saw someone earlier say they bought 81 bottles of Ocean Spray, I decided I would go for the SC record!!!
Sooooo.... first thing this morning I printed off 110 (yes you read that right!) coupons on my printer. My ink ran out about 32 coupons in so I reloaded and off to No Frills I went!
Upon entering the store I immediately went to a cashier and asked for the manager. It took forever for him to come but when he did, I showed him the coupons and told him I was donating 100 bottles to the foodbank. Right away he told me "We don't take internet coupons." I told him I had already used the coupons about 10 times in the past 2 weeks with no problems. He hmmmed and hawwwed and told me he had to phone his head office to see if he could take them. He didn't want to get in trouble he said. He then told me "I don't think we have that much in stock."
So while he was off "phoning head office" I went back and found the display and they had plenty there! I went back to the front and he came up and said he was waiting for a call back. I finally told him "If you don't get your money, call me and I will come back and pay you for the juice!!!". He said something about not having enough, I told him I already checked and they had enough... He then told me to go fill the cart and bring it up!!!
So I brought it up and he had the cashier manager waiting. He told me to give her my name and number in case they did not go through. I told him no problem. The girl took me to the lane and took one bottle and rang it up for 110 of them! She then entered $1 coupon, 110 times! The receipt didn't balance out and we both noticed she had only rang in 100 of them at first because we were discussing me donating the 100 to the Food Bank... so she rang in 10 more and 10 more coupons.
Total OOP: $14.30!!!
I got a guy to take my cart to the curb and we loaded up my car!
After I got the rest of the shopping done (I wanted 28 more Tylenol but they were sold out! I left my coupons sitting with the Tylenol items as a RAOK!), I called the Food Bank and told them I was coming. The lady came out to my car and I opened my trunk and she said "Wow you were not kidding when you said you had a trunk full!"
We carried it in and it came to 298 lbs of juice! She thanked me about three times over!!!
Here it is!
I did keep 14 bottles for myself, 7 for my family and 7 for my aunt and uncle.
Thanks to Smart Canucks, the Food Bank got a trunkoad of Blueberry Ocean Spray Cocktail! This thread is currently associated with: No Frills, Ocean SprayIs it baseball season yet?
