They are not supposed to give any CT money on CC purchases (apart from their own CC which auto points the CT $$) so I can see them saying that

I thought that was only for regular CT money back when you do a regular purchase .

But if you are doing a PM + paying by CC they should give you the CT money back as their PM policy only states that we will match the price + give you 10 % of the lower advertised price in CT money . ( They don't seem to mention the method of payment during the PM to get the 10 % CT money back )

For regular purchases they clearly mention debit/cash for CT money back .. CC is a no go if you want CT money back during regular purchases ( no PM )

Something else to check, as the policy varies from store to store, is their policy on items that go on sale at Canadian Tire after you buy them.

Our local Canadian tire will refund the difference between what you paid and the current sale price for up to 30 days after you buy an item there. We've done this a couple of times.

This is not unique to CanTire, Future Shop has it as corporate policy. We've received $300 PLUS a new ink jet printer for just showing up to the store because two things that we bought came on sale afterward.

I paid cash. The item was on sale for 24.99 so I got 2.50 plus the regular amount I would get on purchase. (can't remember what it was).

I just find that when Zellers has a good sale for example the electric skillet reg 49.99 sale 24.99 they run out so fast.

It's nice to know and have the option.

I just noticed on my flyer that Canadian tire price matches and gives you 10% in CT money. How long as this been in effect? Are they pretty easy at letting you price match or is it a big pain?

It depends upon the store.Fews months back i tried to match a walmart flyer for a Black and Decker flyer and they did not matched it saying the color of the Blender in the flyer is different.
