husband and i went to wm south in regina tonight and had the worst service. we had 2 transactions first i went threw with my stuff. i had gotten 2 of the chef boyardee(big ones) as the anniversary tags were still up for 2 dollars these had rand in over 3 dollars so i had told that the sign was still up and asked if it were a scop as i had seen that the scop sign was beside the till. she had replied by saying no and that she would just have to price adjust. now i know the sale was over so i just brushed that off as 2 dollars is still a good deal. my husband then gave me his walmart discount card as i was paying and got to save another 10 %. so that was not bad but not the best so i just dealt with it.
the second transaction she to gave us a problem about as we had gotten a bag of the natural defence dog food. ( this i had given him a coupon for)
she had then asked y we could not just by it in the moose jaw store where we are from insteed of hers. this i really thought was rude. as i had thought that walmart wanted business.
with this being said i guess wm south just lost a customer as i will not be back as i already am having a bad day and do not want to be putting up with that kinda stuff.
sorry about my rant but grrrrr.

Ive had problems with coupons at the South store too! I find they are very rude and b**chy about EVERYTHING out there. I go to the North store and very seldom have problems!
Mistress-Pending how long its been since you were last there, MJ has grown tremedously in the last 5 years so so. WM, RCSS, Casino, the Spa, lots has changed

SCOP still applies even if the sale is over or expired . ( See SCOP rules below , especially in red to see the expired sale SCOP rules )
Its their duty to remove the expired sale sign .
Complain to the WM head office or the SCOP guys & I am sure they will rectify it & WM will give you a GC or something .
If the store will not apply the code, call 1-866-499-4599 and register a complaint. ..this is the SCOP number to call if you find that WM has done nothing after calling their HO & are just giving you the run around .
FAQ's ABOUT SCOP
Who participates in the SCOP?
Nearly every major retailer in Canada participates in voluntary Scanning Code.
If the store I am in does not have the sign do they participate in the SCOP?
Although all participating retailers are suppose to display the Scanning Code of Practice sign as shown above, not all do. See the link above for a full list of participating stores and chains.
Does Zeller’s particpate in SCOP?
No, Zeller’s does not participate in voluntary Scanning Code. Except for i Quebec where this code is the law and not voluntary
Will the cashier give me the product free without mentioning the SCOP?
It is likely that you will have to ask the cashier to apply the Scanning Code of Practice. If the store is a participant they must give it to you for free or $10 off if the priced scanned is higher than the shelf or other displayed price. If the store will not apply the code, call 1-866-499-4599 and register a complaint.
How about if I more than one of an item that scans in wrong?
If you buy three identical items you are entitled to the first item free, the following items will be adjusted to the lower price.
How about if I buy many different items that scan in wrong?
You are entitled to the first item free per unique UPC, so if each item has a different UPC each item is free. You are entitled to one item free per unique UPC code.
The product had a price tag on it does the SCOP apply?
No, the Scanning Code only applies to non-price ticketed items.
The displayed price was expired, does the SCOP apply?
Yes, if any displayed price for that item is lower than the price the item scans for Scanning Code applies.
The item was on clearance does the SCOP apply?
If the item is not ticketed with a price and the mark down was only by a sign or dsiplay than yes, the scanning code applies.
How about if the price that scans in for lower than the display price does the SCOP apply
No, the Scanning Code of Practice only applies if the price that scans in is higher than the shelf or any other displayed price.
My item was more than $10 do I get it free?
No, if your item is more than $10 you will get $10 off the price of your item.Last edited by tjthemanto; Tue, Oct 5th, 2010 at 11:02 AM.

Walmart is not doing well for customer service lately.
This is probably more of a thing for the shopping discussion.

I don't really think it's Walmart's fault really, the world is full of stupid people...and Walmart is just one of many companies that hire them.. that cashier was just dumb and rude and should be reported

You should call in and get them to apply SCOP. If you had 2 different kind of the chef boyardee then you should have gotten both cans free since it is the first of each identical item so if you have different flavours then you get the first of each kind free.
