Actually, that income is indeed taxable.

Don't think that there is a single way to make money that Canada Revenue Agency hasn't classified as income.

Not intended as a dig at the original poster (way to go, by the way), but rather a kick at the tax man.

there was a whole thing on the news about people not claiming ebay profit and the tax man going after them, i honestly think it was more of a scare tactic to make people claim the money...
way to go on the earnings though! thats like 900 a month...

Way to go!!! I love knowing these items did not go into a landfill! Especially the plastics! I always go to Kijiji first before I make larger purchases....somebody always has what you need and usually at a much lower cost than new. (I literally just did a Kijiji brag )

I used to do the eBay thing, but I found it frustrating without a car and having to lug larger items down to the post office to ship.
I started doing Kijiji, but I find it works best when you are locally situated, like in the city. I would make extra cash daily (nothing large, but milk, bread, eggs were always paid for) when I lived in the city, but now where I am 5 minutes outside, it is harder to get people out here.
I find I am having to explain (almost pleading lol) that it is ONLY 5 minutes from a major city intersection, but alas, a lot of people rely on public transit in my city, and it just doesn't come out here to potato-town. lol

Way to go. My sister-in-law does something similar. She would go shop at stores such as Goodwill or similar type of store in the rich areas and always managed to find good furniture for dirt cheap. She would resell them on kijiji and make a good profit from it. Mind you, she has a minivan so it helps a lot.

Fantastic!! This is where living in a small city (17,236 pop) that things like this don't work. Great for bigger centers where people put good items curbside. Love to see people being creative and saving the enviroment at the same time!!
