So I FINALLY got around to Price Matching at my local Superstore!
It def didn't go as smoothly as I'd hoped, but i was able to get it anyways!

I bought:

on PM w/Zellers Christie's Thinsations @ $1.99ea (SEE PIC)
I bought 2 and REDEEMED 2 FB Coupons for $1.50 ea...
worked out to 2 boxes/$0.98 or $0.49 ea !!!


on PM w/PharmaPlus Royale Bathroom Tissue 8 DB roll @$2.99
Then I added the $1.00 mailer I recieved
Worked out to $1.99/8 about $0.25roll
(this is ONE item I DO NOT MIND paying a lil extra for)

RCSS Sargent ENFORCED the LIMIT OF 2 PRICE MATCHES w/me
I would've p/u a 2nd roll of Royale but they were gone

The Night Ass Man (yup pun intended) gaveme attitude,
my cashier was great, but he was perturbed that i interrupted his coffee break...
@ 10:30 in the evening REALLY ?!?! It's the END of your day you should be GLAD to be going home soon!
and NOT yapping at myself or the cashier, then he walked away.. ONLY to have to come BACK and over~ride for my coupons!
No one behind me in line to complain makes me think I should stick to late evening shopping!
BTW THEY KEPT MY FLYERS !!! WAS NOT IMPRESSED! But apparently they need it for VERIFICATION ?!?

I bought some pretzels (had a salty craving) made some HOT cheese dip ~ oh sooo good ~

Kraft BBQ sauce was $0.99 limit 1

Minute maids were $0.65 (better than PM) and i used my recently rec trade coupons here
B4G1Free ~ the cashier tried to tell me I need to buy 5, now maybe I'm wrong (she let me have it as the 4th free)
BUT IMHO I think it means i should get the 4th free and not a 5th so to speak... (thoughts anyone ?!?)


I spoiled my self a lil and bought a Cello Pack of Dare MMallow Strawberries. $1.69

I used 2 (RAOK'd $5.00 Skinny Cow coupons) and bought1 Fudge Choc Chip Ice creeam sandwhiches
and 1 box Caramel Truffle sale price $4.98 - (2x $5.00 FB Coupon) = FREEx2!!! +($0.04 overage)

Bulk Croutons went ^UP^ in price but I <3 my Caesar salad $0.63/100gms

MITCHELLS GOURMET FOODS has BOUGHT OUT Olympic Meats
so expect to see MGF inits place as soon as the Olympic Products are sold out!
RCSS Has COUPON ZONE $1.00 of bacon specifically OR $1.00 off ANY MGF Product!
I bought 1x pkg MGF Bacon 500g on sale $2.44 - ($1.00 off bacon) $1.44 to me is super cheap for bacon!

Stayfree Prima $1.97 - ($2.00 Printable) LIMIT OF 1 = FREE +($0.03 overage)

1 591 ml PoP $0.99 (My refillable water ran empty and I hate tap water)

Other than being Diappointed w/the Ass man.
and having to surrender my flyers (which I think is B$ btw)
it wasn't a bad experimant w/Price matching

Agreed - generally BxGx means you actually have to BUY X amount and then you get the additional ones frees....otherwise a B1G1 would be the same as a FPC.

fyi-they do not need to keep your flyers. I have PMed many times at rcss and you always take your flyers home. I have also PMed more than 2 things too... I think the one on Sargent is the worst. Try a diff RCSS and you will hopefully have a better experience.

I went back today and p/u a few things i missed the other day.

Not a huge fan of the way they treat PM requests...
But I'm sure that can be said of may stores

Yeah - I had a cashier tell me something similar with another BXGY coupon (can't remember which one - I think it was a Miss Vickies one). She had me all convinced too until someone else pointed out the whole B1G1 analogy. Silly cashiers trying to confuse us!!

Great job on the savings! I've had stores keep my flyers before. Now I just go to the stores that have the flyers I want and get an extra handful. That way I can PM all I want and still have extra flyers!!
