Sad for a man and his family my husband works with... they had a fire in their home yesterday - the people are fine, an adult son got a bit burned trying to put out the fire.
Bizarre thing - during the night their Panasonic microwave just blew up - it's wasn't in use, nothing had been wrong with it as far as they knew - it just kind of exploded, caught the kitchen on fire from top to bottom, and the rest of the home is smoke damaged.
We've offered to help how we can, but it's just so awful when something like this happens just before Christmas - they'll be in temporary housing til cleanup can be done, which may be months.
that sucks but at least they are ok an that's the main thing
