They told me I'd have to get mine replaced but "new hips" aren't good forever so being only coughcough27coughcough I prefer to put up with it for as long as I can instead of having that kind of major surgery twice (god forbid 3x) over my life span.
And yes, damp and cold weather cripples me. Without meds though I'd be a full write off, which I cant do with a MiniMe :(
They don't have a reason for why my joints are that effed up though.
Your injury.. damn! I've only read about one incident of it way back in premed, in a medical journal when they were explaining about flipping the femur to create a proper joint socket. Maybe it's you they were talking about?
