Help with cheap hair colour at salon? Possible? LOL

Hello

Well having coloured my hair for years at a salon, I tried to do my hair myself with box hair color (Nutrisse) because I wanted to save money of course lol But I ended up with hair colour on the ceiling and on the walls and yelling from my parents LOL .... and seriously it took a whole lot of time (I have long hair). Anyways I went back to colouring my hair at the salon but it cost $80 (including tips) JUST FOR THE ROOTS Well, I seriously wondered if anyone in the GTA knows of a affordable place to colour hair?

There is a hair salon school in Oakville & Mississauga, so I am sure Toronto has a few

The one in Mississauga costs $50 for wash, cut & colour inc highlights and if you were happy with doing it yourself, a beauty school student should not be an issue (they work on wigs etc before being allowed near people so are probably more experienced than some of the people in cheaper salons)

good luck. i went to first choice thinking it'd be cheaper to but i was still charged $73ish for dye(roots) and cut they say starting from $50... not sure how they judge the price.could have been the stupid hst not helping.But they do send out coupons.

Hair schools are super cheap. They're supervised by somebody very experienced, so they won't screw your hair up.

I actually happen to know the owner of the academy of hair passion, have been going to her for years and years. She is an amazing hairdresser herself and her hair colouring is awesome too. I had the students work on my hair, and she is meticulous constantly watching what they are doing and supervising them. Being a professional hairdresser myself, it takes one to know one! Actually I have been thinking about doing it from home myself, since the HST got added to haircuts, it makes going to the saloon a real luxury!
