I usually can find some British grocery items here. (Not a Brit myself)
http://www.bestbritishfoods.com/
They have a location at Eglinton Square at Victoria Park and Eglinton. Freshly baked goods, groceries and a limited selection of British-themed items.

My parents studied and lived in London, so they tend to miss the same kinds of things. They go to the store that Trinigal has mentioned. The used to buy a lot at Marks & Spencer when they were open. Recently though, my mother was telling me that she's been able to find many British products at the grocery store in the Bay on Queen St. Also, I can recommend the Nutty Chocolatier to you on Queen St., in the Beach. Try those places, and let us know what you find. If I come across anything else, I'll let you know.

Not sure if they still do, but The Bay at the Eaton Centre has a section on the lower level that has British candies & chocolates.
Might be worth checking out if you`re in the area.

If you can get out to Mississauga, I recommend abitofhome.ca (they also deliver) they have a great selection and tell you on each page if the item is in stock
If you are out Hamilton way, there is a store called Across The Pond on Parkdale Ave which is cheaper than A Bit of Home but is just a store, not online

The shop at in the Eglinton Center is pretty good...Vic Park/Eglinton. There is also a British baker in the plaza with St. Andrew's Fish and Chips (McCown and Lawrence).
Just out of the city is a lovely little British Tea shop in Schomberg, on their main street.

Bulk Barn has imported candy in there. I am getting the kids their "selection box" chocolate from there instead of at one of the British Stores as it's cheaper.

There is a store at Yorkdale that has a fair amount of British items. I am not sure what the name is but I am pretty sure it is by the Sears entrance.

Denninger's in Hamilton/Burlington/Stoney Creek/Oakville carry some English brand name product lines. Not sure about any reading material. Walker's biscuits-stem ginger!-is carried by the chain. http://www.denningers.ca/
In Hamilton, besides Across the Pond, there is also King's Cross (location in downtown Stoney Creek and other location in downtown Dundas). Expect to see T-shirts, videos, crisps, knick-knacks., it's mostly about the food! http://kingscross.ca/http%3A__www.ki...a/Welcome.html
In Waterdown, try Leylands-small but cute and clean shop with lots of treats in the display counter! http://www.goldbook.ca/waterdown/Gro...ish-Foods.html
In Toronto, someone holds the British Isles Show. Get in touch with the producer for some leads. http://www.britishislesshowcanada.com/
Don't forget to try Stollery's on the corner of Yonge and Bloor St. (southwest corner) for any ladies' apparel. http://www.stollerys.com/
Maybe you want to get her a trip to England if you feel like splashing out on a gift?

Also try Pusateri's. Most larger grocery stores tend to have international food sections (saw in a Sobey's that about 10 different countries' faves were put into one aisle) or carry English grocery items.
Still missing Marks & Spencers for easy shopping!2021-Bring on the sunshine, sweets & online shopping.
