My 13 year old wants a camcorder and I have no idea what I should buy. It is going to be used to upload video game "lets plays" onto You Tube. I'm hoping to find something decent on sale in the $250.00 range (hopefully less).
Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I could get for that price that has good video quality, sound and editing potential all in one package for this purpose? I've been looking at reviews, but it might be easier to get members advice.
Thanks.

You can easily get a standard definition high quality camcorder for that price .. in fact you can get it for much lower than that .
But I would advise you to get a high definition camcorder as pretty much everything is going HD like HDTV , HD monitors etc .
For example this HD camcorder from FS below is $ 279.99 ..its made by Insignia which an exclusive In store brand for Best Buy & Future Shop

This Sears flyer for Black Friday is also a decent price for the JVC camcorder .. it comes with a hard drive so you don't have to worry about putting tapes , dvds etc into the CC ..not sure if its High Definition or not ..if its HD its a great price ..IMO
