I buy the President's Choice cheesecake for 7.49, so this is better.

Oops, I meant bonus points coupon.

My early New Year's resolution is to use what I have, regardless if I can get things pennies a piece or even FREE. Even FPCs for items I already have lots of will be gifted. I want a store room where I can see the walls again. So no more reading brags (too tempting) and I will have to be content with what I already have.

But what I plan to do also, is save all those HV coupons for things I can get nearly free, and if it's seriously on sale at SDM on 20x the points day, I will use them there, and there only lol. If I hadn't got all excited and anxious when I got the Olay coupons and ran around using them at No Frills, Zellers, etc, I would have been able to use them at SDM if I'd just been patient, and gotten them almost free with a TON of points.

So yes, USE stockpile, spend WAY less, and be PATIENT with the deals lol. Those are some of my resolutions!
I seriously think my next several weekly (into months!!) household budgets will be $20 or even much less. All I need is fresh milk, fruit, and veggies. I have a deep freeze with lots of roasts, steaks, ground beef (+ turkey and pork), chicken (breast, legs, thighs), cheese (which I shredded then stored in individual baggies), peas, carrots, berries (blueberry and raspberry), fish (tilapia, salmon), herbs (from the garden I pureed/chopped then froze using ice trays), ice cream, and more that I can't recall at the moment.

The store room is filled with juices (cranberry, apple, green tea, aloe), pasta, pasta sauce, cans of veggies and beans, soup, cereal, sweet tooth stuff (cookies, chocolate, etc.), almonds, prunes, coffee, tea, oil, vitamins, feminine hygiene products, household cleaners, dish soaps, detergent, paper towels, facial tissue, toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, water, and so on. I bake my own bread and have lots of flour to do so.

If SDM points expired at the end of the year, I would say yes. But since they don't, they will act as my emergency fund next year.

Smart woman! Everyone needs an emergency fund. I can't stress that enough with my boys. (ages 17,20 and 23)
Sounds like you are well stocked for a good long time. WTG.

So when I buy and redeem $250 tomorrow, will I receive my base points of 2500 points for my purchase?

    Thanks!

No, you don't earn points on redemption amounts.

Lucky! I wish my store sold K-cups! I would redeem for a bunch of them.

I am going to have trouble buying $250 worth of Shoppers stuff, can we "buy" gift cards as part of our redemption or are they exempt?

You can unfortunately never redeem your points for gift cards.

They all say that. They told me the same thing this week when I purchased stuff for $75. I said no the points will be there .... and sure enough they were. I think they know the points would be there but they are trying to make people buy more!

This will be my first redemption...just getting into this site and just found this section to find the secrets to getting mega points. I have enough for the $125 redemption and I plan to get the Toy Story or Princess boombox @ $49.99, the Toy Story clock @ $39.99 or Rocket Ship clock $19.99, then some Christmas gifts and food stuff with the remaining $.
