Blessedmommy gave me this idea! Post your fav money saving secret!
Okay, so here is my favorite money saving secret:
To find a use for all that body wash, I use it as hand soap.
I use a foamy hand wash bottle.
Directions:
Fill the first 1/2 inch of the bottle with body wash.
Add water to half the bottle.
Use a butter knife to stir the soap and water together.
Now test - (wash your hands)
If its too runny, add more soap.
If its perfect, add one more teaspoon of soap, and stir.
Now fill up to the end, and stir.
Test again. - (hand wash)
add more soap if too runny.. But if perfect leave alone.
Now put the bottle top on.
Shake it up.
And its ready..
(sorry if someone else has already posted something like this).:flowers:
What are your money saving tricks? :-)
Quick other add:
Check with your local farmers!
I buy all my apples from a farm 1 mile from our house, so I get fresh amazing apples for $0.50 a lb! Pie apples (almost perfect) $7 for 20lbs!
Also I can get Pears for $0.50lb !
Of course you can get a lot of other stuff besides Apples/Pears etc;
If I was to buy the produce at the farmers market, I would be paying way more... So try to get them straight from the farm.
New add:
A thrift store 1 1/2 hours from where I live has an amazing clear-out every September... Checking with all your local woman's auxiliary thrift stores can save thousands over time!
Every September the thrift store I go to, has a $1 GARBAGE bag event! Whatever you can fit in the bag is $1 whether its a wedding gown or a lamp! I missed this past September's clear-out and when I found out, I was nearly in tears!
