Rite Aid Pharmacy (U.S.) Toy Shopping Brag - Saved $132 Spent $60!

Today, I drove down to New York to mail our Christmas cards to our friends and family in the States, and decided to stop at the nearby Rite Aid Pharmacy. I ended up spending $60.58 OOP after all promos for 10 Toys/Craft Sets, 1 Christmas Tree Skirt, and 1 Nintendo Wii Game. Some of these will be X-Mas gifts for family & my DD, and some will be for donations.

Rite Aid often has some good promotions including what they call "+UP Rewards" - which in essence are coupons for money off your next purchase for buying certain products. For example, today they had spend $30+ on Kids Stuff toys get a $10 +UP Reward toward your next purchase . They also have lots of product cash back rebates and gift card/gift certificate promos for spending a certain amount of money, including a current promo where you receive a $20 Gift Card/Certificate when you spend $100+ before coupons between Nov. 25 and Dec. 24, 2010.

Therefore, I combined the two promos I noted above to score some awesome toy deals today - $10 UP Reward WUS $30+ and $20 GC WUS $100+ In all I did 3 transactions, I would make my purchase, bring it to the car, then go back in and make my next one. It took me a total of 20 minutes to score these deals before I was headed back across the border to Montreal.

I didn't really start couponing and deal hunting until I moved to Montreal - had I discovered this earlier while living in the States I would have been at Rite Aid every week because of their deals
