Morning all.....another quick dash-in to say "hi".....happy b/day wishes to all who celebrated, and I also noticed on my skim thru that there have been a few pet losses....so sorry to hear that....I'll say it again, they just don't last long enough....
...to do a catchup here....the convention was brilliant, came back with all kinds of treasures, blew about a grand all in....that's my big purchase for the year ( gee Mr border guard, I guess I spent about $300 at a craft show?....hehehe!!!)...a good weekend, caught up with a friend I hadn't seen in about 7 years, so that was great...no cooking, ate crap all weekend long, bought chocolate, cookies and cereal we don't get here....loads of candles for b/day and Christmas gifts....
.....seems my dad isn't doing well however....diabetes has caused gangrene about 2/3 up his foot, but the docs won't amputate, saying his heart wouldn't survive the anaesthetic...bood pressure meds cause him to go into kidney failure, but kidney meds drop his blood pressure so he passes out ( which he did, and now has 8 stitches over his eye when he hit the edge of the dresser)....all he does is sleep, and the pain meds for his foot send his head squirrely, so he's on Advil or something like that, which obviously does nothing....
....I have to go down his place today, and go get bank stuff put jointly in my name....he needs to amend his will as well, so that I am the only executor.....hubby and his bro are co-executors on his dad's will, which is a right pain in the arse, cos he has to send every single piece of paper to New Brunswick to be signed by his bro....that would be my case as well, my sis is co-executor and she is in BC....same crap, different side of the country, so best to get that taken care of today....
....somehow I don't think he's long for this planet....he's tired and knows it, and he hopes he just goes to sleep and doesn't wake up....one of his docs doesn't want to see him for 4 months....I figure that could be the longest he lasts, and the doc knows it....and next week Wednesday the 4th, I am booked to go to Vancouver to visit my sis for 6 days....who knows if I will even get there, or I may have to come back early, in light of his situation....it's a wait and see game at the moment....
...sorry to make this so long, but thanks so much for all the words/trivia help....hope another SC'er wins the contest, we have been on a roll this past while...outta here, will pop in again when I can....no time to rep, so that sucks.....TR
