Good Morning. Very late to work today because of a doctor's appointment. Appointment was at 8 didn't get in til about 8:45. I don't understand how they can be that behind so early in the morning

thanx so much for your heartfelt sympathies & concerns. it's much appreciated. this SC group is the best at coming thru to everyone during good times & the not so good.
unfortunately, it's a waiting game now. the doctors asked my brother if he want any machines hooked up to her & he told them no. the two of them had decided a while ago they neither wanted to "live" life like that. all they can do now is try & keep her as comfortable as possible. my brother spends his days at the hospital & my mother will drop him off in the morning, see how she's doing, then come back later in the day again for a while & take my brother home, try & get him to eat, shower, sleep & do it again the next day. it was their 10th anniversary last wednesday & my brother's birthday last saturday, neither was a happy occasion for him. i can say they've been happy together for those 10 years & enjoy the company of 2 dust mop dogs, which were their "kids". with the meds the hospital have been giving her, she was in a coma for part of yesterday, but came out of it & now is obviously "dopey" feeling. will be by the phone waiting for any further updates.

an update on my sister-in-law. my mother called tonight to tell me that after all the tests, she has a very fast spreading cancer & it's spread throughout her body. they giving her 2 days to 2 weeks. it is not the result we were hoping for.

That is so tragic; I hope you all find the strength in each other to get through this together.

He passed away early this morning and is resting in peace.
My mother in law has finally fallen asleep after barely closing
her eyes for 3 days.
I have no details about the funeral or anyrthing else.

I feel as though I have lost my father all over again!

I am working, doing the best I can.

I will be around.

My heart goes out to you & your family. I know how those days of waiting are so heart wrenching. I have no doubt that your s-i-l feels the comfort of her family around her. It sure doesn't make it hurt any less, but as you know this is one of the things we do in the name of love, devotion & admiration.

I went through it with my Dad, & my brother & I wish I could offer you some words of wisdom to help make it easier for you & your family. I am glad you are all sticking together.
