Great Price on the Philips 32 Inch HDTV $ 299.99 ...this is a very good TV for less than $ 300 ..its not the usual crap TV like the Dynex / Insigna etc . So if you are looking for a brand name & good 32 Inch LCD HDTV ..this one for $ 299.99 is really good
Also the Compaq laptop for $ 249.99 is very good ... I bought one in Best Buy for $ 319.99 last month ..very happy with it..so can't beat the $ 249.99 price @ FS

Yeah, nothing is making me say start the car.. Some of the 4.99 Blu Rays maybe, but thats it. the 4G xbox is not a good deal, since you can't play on line and you'll run out of space and have to buy a new HD for $90+ ... Retailers are learning to put the deals out now, and not wait...

Some of the home audio stuff is priced really quite well. I'm sure my DH would be all over the Klipsch sub if he hadn't bought one a couple months ago for like $150-200 more (on sale).

Unfortunately, you're completely wrong! Don't be fooled by the brand name, Phillips is a well-established brand of audio but not the best one on the TV market. They have only a few good TV models, but this particular model is twice as worse than the Dynex / Insigna etc. To start with look at its specifications:
<DT>Response Time<DD>8 ms (the lowest for the brand name TV I saw nowadays is 6.5)
<DT>Dynamic Contrast Ratio<DD>10000:1 (the same as above should be at least 60000:1)
<DT>Viewing Angle<DD>170°/170° ( by the way in most reviews, I mean no at Future shop it says 160°/160° and this is the truth(!))
<DT class=alt>Brightness<DD class=alt>380 cd/m2 (it's way too low)
<DT>TV Tuner<DD>ATSC; NTSC ( what about QAM, all TVs have it, it's the must now)
<DD>Also from my personal experience, my friend who bought this TV after playing with it for some weeks, trying to make the colours right, just returned it. This TV is not ISF calibration ready, but suffer from the severe gamma problems. So, it's not better than any No Name TV.
