So after taking a brief break from couponing (maybe 2 weeks lol), I decided to do a LD run tonight. Have some coupons expiring tomorrow and they have some decent sales on right now. Well.......there was a new girl at CS, she asked me how I like to have things run through the till, and I told her whatever way is easiest for her, so we did product than coupons. I give her some cover girl coupons and as I was going through some other coupons realized I accidently gave her two coupons with the same UPC. I apologized and she said that was fine. I bought more than 2 products so I could use coupons with the UPC. I was blown away, but the manager was right behind her and never said anything. Is this something new??

I was all prepared to do a couple transcations to use my duplicate coupons, but she let me put everything on one bill. It was great.

For example, she let me use 3 of the buy 2 brands save $4.00 (tide, downy) b/c I had tide, two bounce, bounce bar, downy, and tide stain release. Then she let me stack that coupon with two more $4.00 off from PG Brandsaver internet coupons. I couldn't believe, but loved it!!!

Unless I'm mis-reading your post... I think that sounds right.. That's how I stack.. I think??

You can use more than one coupon with the same UPC code in the same transaction, as long as each coupon is towards a different product.

For example, if you are buying 2 Tides & 2 Bounce, you can use 2 of the same coupon towards Tide, 2 of the same coupons towards Bounce, 2 of the "buy 2 brands" coupons.

Or do you mean they let you use multiples of the same coupon on the SAME product?

Nope you are reading it correctly. I just thought it always had to have different UPC's and there is one older gal who gives me nothing but problems, and there is no way she would let me do what I did today.

That's great news though. I thought I was doing well with stacking, but I wasn't even doing it correctly!!!

Really?? wow. I could be saving more!! That's crazy, but I'm liking it!

I found a coupon today on a huggie bag, and in bold letters it said Do Not Double on it. I'm wondering if that's just for stores that do double coupon value days or if that's for stacking as well.

I need to read up on how to stack. I'm sure this has been asked many times. Is there a link that explains stacking techniques?

    Thanks in advance

Really?? Even the ones from online, like save.ca? Same coupon, but diff expiry dates? I"ll have to ask my local store whether they do that.
