If you missed out on the Eneloops that went on sale at Dell last month, you may be interested in dropping by Shopper's Drug Mart on either Sunday or Monday. They're offering the Duracell Mini Charger, and pre-charged AA or AAA (4's) for 7.77. They'll be 9.99 for the rest of the week.

(Just for comparison- the Duracell pre-charged AA pack of 4 was 17.99 at Canadian Tire.)

    From the Duracell site:

    • These batteries can be charged hundreds of times Holds their charge 5x longer than ordinary rechargeable batteries when not in use
    • Holds charge up to a year when not in use
    • Use with high-drain or frequently used devices, including: Video Game Controllers High-powered Flashlights

The regular coppertop AAs (16's) and AAA's (12's) will also be going on sale for 7.77 on Sunday and Monday. (9.99 for the rest of the week)
This thread is currently associated with: Canadian Tire, Dell, Pharmaprix, Shoppers Drug Mart

Based on the reviews in Amazon, they should be good for digital camera's too. (I'm planning to get some for my point and shoot. I *hate* it when my spare batteries die!)

I love these kinds of batteries that don't lose their charge when they're not being used (for a good period of time) - nothing worse than getting out your camera or whatever, and finding the batteries are dead

The Marion SDM located in Winnipeg was OOS on both AA and AAA but the Osborne Village location had plenty on the shelf at the front of the store. They were marked at 9.99 but rang thru at 7.77.

I dropped by SDM earlier and was pleasantly surprised to find that the tops of the pre-charged Duracell batteries were white. Some reviewers on Amazon are convinced that the white-top pre-charged Duracells are actually rebranded Eneloop batteries because similarity of technical specifications and physical shapes of (+) and (-) terminals. (The black-top pre-charged Duracells are supposedly rebranded Rayovac Hybrid batteries, which are also pretty good too)

Anyway, I picked up 2 packs of pre-charged AA's and was glad I did. I ended up promptly using one of them- the batteries in my point and shoot died, and since I forgot to charge my spare ones yesterday, my spares were dead too =b
