You are in a group and not a group leader so you can add friends once you've done your steps here. If one of the friends you've added don't register from your request you won't get the points for them. They have to register and then shop. I believe you should be able to add up to 10 referals after you've met your conditions here with your group.

It's not that there's a limit of 10 referrals, it's that there's a limit of 10 friends who shop that you get credit for. so if you invite 50 friends, and 13 shop, you'll get 50,000 points. We're ALL going to shop though, so we make groups of 10

Oops. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to add extra members to the opposite groups from the ones in which they register.

I would also think it would be great if everyone donated 45 points of your 4545 back to Cyanne. With 62 groups that would be 30,690 if everyone shops. I don't know how it works, but you can suggest it to your group leader if you like the idea.

Awww.... that's sweet, but I don't need your points. Plus, it would likely make me a target in SDM's eyes (I had my account frozen for such a thing once. In the end I won the dispute.). If you guys want to do something for me, how about donating a dollar to the MS society of Canada? By the same logic, that would come to a decent donation.

Just stopping by to say a hugh THANK YOU!! to Cyanne for organizing this.

I didn't register as I really didn't have anything to buy to add up to $20 (pre-tax, before coupons); hard to believe I know! After reading other threads and stopping in at SDM today I figured I could hold off a couple days to buy a couple food items I need, found a couple items in clearance and items other SC posted they were picking up for this event that I could use and found I'd make the $20 limit but too late to register. So even if I missed out this time around I want to say THANK YOU to Cyanne and all the group leaders...I see how this allows everyone to take advantage of the Tell a Friend event who otherwise might not be able to rally up 10 'friends'.

I just want to know if anybody is encountering an error msg "you have entered an invalid security answer"? I don't know what's wrong or is it only me? I used all the security question and all gave me the same response. Also when I try to log in to sdm website to check my points (same security answer), I'm able to do it.. so frustrating..

Holy, 64 groups - with about 10 per group - that's 640 people all spending $20 - that's almost $1300 for SDM just from SCers - they ought to give us door prizes!

No, you get 5000 bonus points from SDM for shopping and 4545 from your group leader (if everyone shops and of course they will!!)...that is once the points have been awarded by SDM on or before January 28,2011!!

Just wanted to let people know, that those who are possibly thinking of being a Group Leader, it really isn't very hard. I am new at this process myself and the directions from Cyanne have been very clear and her emails walk you right though it. I was a bit intimidated at first, but don't be shy to volunteer!

Of course not 4545pts maximum if everyone in group shops, less if someone doesn't. Just hope that you're not in a deadbeat group.
