Interesting lifestyle
The botox in his lips distracted me
cooool, ty for posting that.
that was actually quite nice, thanks :)
it was wasn't it anisa...the simple pure living. I would have loved to have lived in the lil house on the prarie days lol, such a simplier time be it more work though, but at least one knows what they are eating, not like today. Grrr I just can't spell today lol.
What an awesome video giving us a peek into that family! I think it's absolutely wonderful how they are pretty much self-sustaining - it takes a LOT of work to do that!
Wow, love it, I"m not much of a farmer, but grew a bit of stuff last summer, I'll be moving back to my old place when my daughter moves out in April or May, can't wait to get at that garden, thanks for sharing this (:
i was smiling the whole way thru, i liked how they weren't ultra extreme tree huggers, but a normal family working hard and living an honest to goodness humble life.
i do wonder about the dating situation tho, thank God the son cleaned up a bit ;p
the dad looked like a sweet man :)
Thank you for posting that....what a lovely life they have developed for them selves...I imagine they're vegetarians? I can't begin to think they could actually kill that goat..:-(
Yes, simpler times, healthier foods...which reminds me: it's time I picked up more 'pods' for the Aero Garden we have...more fresh basil, parsley, chives...hm...what else....it's so nice to clip fresh greens all winter!!
we went to u pick this summer, I have 3 freezers full of strawberries and veggies. Not to mention stocked up on meat for 3 years lol. Would love to do a garden in wood like they have but my back can't handle the bending down, told hubby we would have to build them off the ground. Would love to grow my own stuff. Ahhh, maybe when our place sells we can do it at our new one :)
I wish we had nicer weather to be able to grow more variety of foods. A family friend has a barn with all the animals and she raises goats to be sold off for meat. I try not to think about it as i'm playing with the baby goats.
Oh, I hear ya about a bad back and gardening, Hon. My hubby just put up a small elevated garden here (we downsized) and I really look forward to fresh leaf lettuce this year! He likes his radishes, peppers...I also grow mini tomatoes in urns on the patio...jeepers, I had so many this year on the one or two plants we put in, I ended up telling our next door neighbour to help herself whenever she wanted to! lol! Ahhhhh...summer....
My problem is I can't even keep a fake plant alive lol, nevermind something real. I think I'm the only person who killed a cactus lmao, I need help ha ha.
We have a garden at the cottage...nothing like the fresh beans, tomatoes, cukes and lettuce. I loved the video and wish more of us would be that fugal. North American's waste so much food.
Sounds stupid I know but I'm not a gardener but I didn't know until 2 years ago you could plant tomatoes in big plastic buckets on your deck. I wanted to try some but couldn't find the food grade pails anywhere. My buddy went to a&w etc to find me some but nobody had any. Would love to do it this year, but I don't even know when to plant them etc. I wasn't brought up gardening lol
