i am trying to put a photo up in my profile and i keep getting the message that it is not .jepg or whatever else they have to be to be able to put them on there when i download the pic from my email and save it the file saves and a .jpeg can someone help me :?

I guess you're using Microsoft Windows xp, right?
The easiest way to do resize and save an image is using Adobe Photoshop but you won't probably have it on your computer. If you do have Photoshop please let me know and I'll explain how.

The other way is using Microsoft Paint but it's very tedious. Here is how:
Click on "start"� then "All Programs"� then "Accessories"� then "Paint"�
Paint will open
Click on "File"� then "Open"� and select your picture and click open.

Now click on "Image" then "Attributes"
The image width and height should be 100 or less.

If your image is already equal to or less than 100 x 100 click on cancel then click on "File" and "Save as". In the "Save as type� choose" JPEG.

If your image is more than 100 x 100 do the following: note the values of image width and height. Click on "Image"� then "Stretch/Skew� and change the "Horizontal"� and "Vertical"� % to a smaller value so that eventually when you check the attributes it should be 100 x 100 or less. Once this is done click on "File" and "Save as". In the"Save as type" choose JPEG.

Are you lost? lol sorry it's very hard to explain. The easiest way is to email me your image to [email protected] and I'll resize it and save it as jpeg for you and email it back to you :D

thanks i got it all figured out i guess the photos were saving as bitmap i had it set wrong :oops:
