Well, they weren't lying..it is quite the zoo in there but all cash lanes were open and the cashiers were pure grace under fire!

For my valiant efforts, and my will to "stick to my list!" I got the following:

    1x Clorox Wipes @$1- $1 coupon = $0
    1x McCain cake @$1- couldn't resist! = $1
    1x No name mixed veggies @$1 = $1
    2x Crab meat @$1ea = $2
    2x Marc Angelo Pork Souvlaki @$1 ea -2x $1 coupons = $0
    1x blueberies @$1 = $1
    1x Grape tomatoes @$1= $1
    1x nectarines @ $1/lb = $1.07

    Sub-Total (including coupons) $7.07
    Tax $0.13

    Total $7.20 - $5 PC GC from Glade Promo = $2.20!!!

Awesome shopping. Didn't need much since I just shopped at SDM a few nights ago and grabbed a bunch of stuff. This is more of a brag in favour of will power to stick to my list!

Some items made it into the cart along the way but after a self-help talk with myself, they were removed!

So I have my cake, and I'll enjoy eating it too!

Sounds like there's a lot of residual trauma from last years event. We may need a support group. Maybe we should go in teams.

Doesn't your No Frills accept printable coupons? Mine does. If so, you could have used the $1 McCain printable coupon.
I had to call and ask management, but they said yes along with following the regular rules for coupons

No Frills $ events are pure craziness!!

I remember last year going on a Saturday (big, big, big mistake ) and taking my Mom.

They had police officers in the parking lot directing traffic!!

Inside was mayhem. All the registers were open and each one had checkout lines snaking down each of the aisles. The only way to get from one side of the store to the other was across the back. You could scoot up one aisle but had to go back down the same aisle!!

But No Frills had plenty of stock for the week (went back on my normal shopping day and got all of the $1 items I had on my list.)

If you need to go on the weekend, wear a helmet, elbow pads and take snacks and water and leave instructions for a rescue team in case you need to be extricated!!

I braved it and went this morning. It was a zoo, but thankfully I have great kids who are patient and we danced and sang while we were waiting in line at the checkout. My son had to pee so bad I could see it in his eyes, but he persevered and held on to it until we got to the van (where we had the potty).

    Got some great deals, though
