    Way to go scouserhead. Sweet.

So here's one cookware idea. We purchased Paderno cookware - 20+ years ago and it's working great. This year we purchased one new pot in a store in town. But they had an amazing boxing day sale on it ... marked down to 25% about, less than $200 for the set.

i ordered my first item from amazon.ca just now! the Keurig Special Edition Single Serve Brewer KUB60! totaled $147, but free thanks to swagbucks!
i want to get a good cookware set, and am considering one of the Calphalon 8 piece sets.
has anyone bought cookware from amazon before? any recommendations?

also got my 3rd search win. so far 9/10/10 today. :]

thanks for the input! Paderno looks really nice, but i was leaning towards a non-stick/anodized set.. as cleanup would be a lot more easier, and i'm worried stainless steel would be harder to maintain... ahh decisions decisions

i just made an order for the Calphalon Contempoary nonstick 2 1/2 quart shallow saucepan w/lid, to test out the set. it's only $39.99 and is a different one from their 8 piece set. it also has 114 reviewers who rated it a 5 star on .com!
if it works out, i'm only short $50 from ordering the 8 piece set! :]

I wish I remembered to work on SBTV on days like this when I have nothing to do... I'm 4sb away from redeeming an Amazon gift card. I haven't earned this much in one day in a long time.

EDIT: Just redeemed for the GC. I can sleep happy now.

It's awesome that SBTV is sticking around. Unfortunately still have captchas. They slow me down because I need to pay attention to the captchas or I lose points.
Ya I disapprove the captchas too. What do you mean by you have to pay attention?

I just was doing a survey that was supposed to take ten minutes for 50 SB. Took at least 20, before it got hung on a screen, then said I'd already completed it! Grrr.

Zonny, I always write down the survey # and points before starting it. I have written SB when this happens giving this info and what happened. A few times I have been credited! Worth a try!!!

Im a real sci-fi "er" lol Jumping for joy just ordered Stargate Universe both seasons (on sale) .... thanks to SB

I spent most of my Amazon account on new kitchen stuff when I moved and got a Paderno set, I LOVE the pots but ended up buying a Tfal pan because everything stuck to the frying pan, the pots don't though - not sure what the difference in but they are easy to clean and maintain

I'm not a fan of non-stick coatings, too easy to scratch. Besides, it's pretty toxic stuff to produce. I have a nice Paderno set I got for a wedding gift, it's great. I don't find stuff sticks in the frying pan if you have the heat on high enough. Of course you do have to add oil or Pam or something to it if it's not a non-stick pan.

When I first got my Paderno someone else in the house decided to use first ... and make fried eggs with butter (nothing I would cook ... heart attack in a pan! lol)
and the eggs stuck and I finally had to phone Paderno to see what the heck ... turns out the pans don't like egg white or butter, loves to stick to the pans.
Used baking soda to clean the bottom of pan so won't scratch. Came clean but the bottom of pan darken. Paderno offered to replace, but yea know its a good reminder to someone not to use eggs and butter in MY pans! lol
