Has anyone tried to redeem for an amazon gift card recently? It looks like now they are making you submit your cell number in order to redeem for the gift cards. So now they are being sent in a text message and you have to pay texting fees. Anyone else running into this?
I redeemed for a $50 amazon card a few days ago, and didn't have to submit my cell number...I read somewhere that that means you've been f l a g ged - don't know if it's true or not..
(had to spell that way - wouldn't let me use that word, probably because it's similar to a competitor site)

frugallady19 - I wondered that too.
You can log in to Amazon any time and go to your account and "add a gift card". You enter the code for the gift card from Swagbucks and it gets added to your "gift card" balance. Then do another $5 and another $5 and watch the balance grow.
So when you check out say you have put in 10 codes -you have $50 and you use it to pay for item.
Amazon says the $$ never expire so that's great news.
Tip: Someone recommended moving your codes over and redeeming at Amazon in case your Swagbuck account ever gets hacked. I never thought of that and I had been leaving mine pile up at swagbucks but now I move them over.
Not sure what Amazon would do if my account there was hacked but I log in less often so that minimized the risk of malware snagging that login.
