yes, 1st code ended at 3 am. While I was , almost made it since DS woke me at 4:30 (3:30 pst)

Question about the crossword puzzle: Is there a way to fill it out online and will doing so give us a code at the end?

As far as I can find, no way to fill out on online. I printed mine off.
There is space for:
1 x 7 letter word
2 x 8 letter word
1 x 10 letter word
1 x 11 letter word

and if following usually crossword puzzles key word is made up on 7 letters (those boxes that are extra thick (crossover letters)

Code 2 was an 8 letter word (not sure we can mention it now its over) and it can fit in 2 spots.
I chose the horiztonal 8 letter spot because one of the letters in the code is a Y and that would land up as a key letter in the vertical 8 word spot

That means you've already RSVP and are part of a team. Just click on the X on the pop up box and it'll go away, did for me anyways.
