I read this the other day--it has some interesting points about 'purchasing' coupons on eBay and using multiples of the same coupons.

Maybe read this article in full before you consider a clipping service:

Selling coupons on EBay seems crazy! I wonder how many people buy them and how much money they are charging for them!
I really really need grocery FPCs & coupons!!! Happy mom of 3 young children
Will trade $50 in coupons for a $5 Amazon.ca e-gift card OR $100 in coupons for $10 grocery gift cards!
Earn FREE Amazon.ca gift cards by searching!http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/divinedivagirl

Wow..that is quite the article...does make you almost "terrified" to use coupons...it amazes me what lengths people will go through to commit fraud...

I have sold many coupons on Ebay, and I have traded coupons on SC. My preference is to trade here on SC. The time, fees and hassles involved with Ebay and PayPal are just not worth it. I would start my auctions at .99 for 40-50.00 worth of coupons. Wait for days to be paid 2 - 4 dollars an auction, answer some of the dumbest questions know to man lol, pay Ebays listing fee, and final value fees and then PayPal fees. It was not worth my time or effort to list, and collect coupons. I am not a person who ever took a whole tear pad, I will take only a few coupons at a time. I also only use one name and addy for online coupons or for MIR. Each to their own as the saying goes; take a whole tear pad, clear a shelf, not up to me to judge, Karma has it's own ways. If someone wants to sell on Ebay, all the power to them, been there done that, I much perfer SC. Not sure what the diff. between selling on Ebay and the posts on SC to trade coupons for gift cards, a great way to cut out the "middle man" Ebay and PayPal. Just my thoughts.

I agree. Doing this makes couponers look bad. And I have been on the receiving end of this too. Saw the item on sale on the shelf, and the tear pad was empty, right beside the item. And on the first day of the sale too.

I had no idea that use a paper cutter can cause problems. I tend to use one almost every time that I cut my coupons.

I saw an ad on Kijiji for the A&W coupons that come in the newspaper. They wanted $10 for it!

Kind of defeats the purpose of couponing though when you think about it. Yes you are paying cents onthe dollar for the coupons but why not just pay the retail price. Save you the time searching the websites for the coupons you are looking for etc. Sides I don't know about the rest of you but the deals + coupons that i get I feel like i've earned it when 've either had to clip, trade or go looking for certain coupons.
