My DD spend the 20 dollars before taxes and then used coupons.

She got her points and I got mine.

So for the next event we can all use coupons and bring our totals down.

Yes my DD paid under $19. But she was over 20 before taxes. The coupons brought it down. I was sure she and I wouldn't get the 5000, but we did.

Glad it worked out for you but what if they do it different next time and all 800 + Smart Canucks get screwed out of points. For $20 I'm not sure it's worth the risk (unless you're not part of the SC event then you can take the risk yourself).

I have to agree with this. I was happy to pay $20.00 to get so many bonus points. I think if people start using coupons to bring their totals down SDM might get smart to the idea and it would really screw with out TAF events. I think to be fair for everyone who takes part of these groups we should stick to the guidelines given to us. That way evereyone wins.

Ok, I step in this to confirm. As a group leader, I didn't dare to spend less than 20$ before tax, and so did all the member in my group. But I used my husband card to try his luck lol, he just never cares lol! I bought 20.29$ worth of stuffs, then used $4 in coupons, make it 16.29$ subtotal, then the SDM $10 Coupon, so my subtotal was 6.29$, got 200 base points and yesterday it showed up in my husband account he got 5000 points ( I didn't refer anyone with this card so it was just 5000 points for register I guess)

However I don't know if we should do it next event, it might be just YMMV, I have another 10 people in my group and I wouldn't dare to try it as part of the group!
