SPC card question

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section.

I bought a SPC card a few months ago and while they say its technically for students, anyone can use them or buy them from what I have seen.

However I have been asked multiple times to show proof that I am a student (which I am not), I think it might be due to irritated cashiers, but has anyone else had this problem? And what do you say or do when this happens?

The VIP SPC card does not require student identification. It can be obtained through a specific annual LouLou magazine subscription.
The regular SPC card requires student identification. This can be obtained at Shoppers Drug Mart etc. Head to the SPC website for more information

OK, if u get the regular SPC card, the one u bought in store, that is the one only for student. You must show with your Student ID with SPC for every purchase

The one we usually talking about in SC, it is the "VIP SPC", in the card fully mark "VIP SPC - No student card required". The VIP SPC is a gift for apply LOU LOU magazine for a year.

I'm fairly sure you can purchase them from retailers. Check on their site, it might say exactly where.

Is the VIP card the credit card?

VIP card is not credit card, it has same looking as the normal SPC card, just in bottom corner mark it is VIP one

It's still worth it to subscribe
Not sure if LouLou lets you renew/add to your current subscription when ordering from the website (with the VIP SPC gift) but if they do, you've got nothing to lose!

I plan to do this, as I have a Zellers 5 minutes away from my house and I love price matching.
