Conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms early this evening ahead of an approaching cold front. Some of these storms may become severe, with damaging wind gusts approaching 100 km/h being the main threat. Very heavy downpours may also be associated, along with a lesser possibility of hail near 2 cm in diameter.
