I wish it was that easy, basically what I'm doing is telling her she's not allowed to have my Daughter without one of us there, or come here to visit. She always wants to take my kid for a week every month and she drinks EVERY day when she has her. I don't like it, she tries to lie to me about being sober but you can hear it in her voice. Don't get me wrong, she still holds her part-time job and takes care of herself BUT she's fallen twice with my daughter, shouldn't be drinking as it defeats the purpose of her medication and really.. when my daughter comes home it's like I have to re-"train" her. :s It makes me sound like a bi**h but oh well. I need to look out for her.. and I know how my Mom kind of scarred my childhood with her drinking so I don't want it to happen with my daughter. No way in he**.

*sigh* so there's my dilemma.

& boooo to Rogers.. I hate Rogers.

Just explain to your mom of what you told us how her drinking problem has gone a little too far and that you don't feel comfortable having your daughter there with her alone.

If she doesn't change then when she ask just say no or make up an excuse that you are unable to bring here there because she has a pay or some sort to attend

It's hard, I want her to have a relationship with my Mom but my Mom constantly lies to us about being sober, we'll be on the phone together and she tries to say she's sober. I wish I could play her voicemails here.. no sober person talks this way! and if I don't answer my phone she gets mad and assumes I'm always home. I just don't know how to tell her.. I don't want her to be sad but I know she'll get mad. She's always jealous of DH's family & his Mom when they see my DD. It's like.. two highschoolers in a jealous relationship. I can't handle much more.. I've already been telling her were busy so she can't take my daughter because I don't know how to say "NO" to her
