She writes in a very emotional and heartfelt manner, no wonder you liked that! However, did you click on the buy our house link and read how they got their new house?
I sure wish I could have been a sahm, I wanted nothing more. They had the privilege of having parents that fronted them the shortfall so they could have their dream home. Not everyone has that.
She also had her children at a time when in Canada you get a full year off for maternity leave ( sour grapes on my part?, oh a little, I got 17 weeks, women before my time received nothing)
They are living a beautiful, simple and yes affordable way to have the joy of parenting their own offspring. I wish them the best but I also wish many more had that choice to stay home as she did. The reality is that not many women can unless they have a support system to help them. (ie: parents or other sources of $$) yes, I think it all comes down to the $ in the end.

Yeah, definitely didn't click the link - how did they get their new house? haha & I am a sahm, but believe me it wasn't something I ever imagined, I needed to change my lifestyle so I could live and my job/things related to it/child care brought me way down.I'm very grateful for my DH having a well enough paying job to support us while I stay home with our daughter. If you knew the issues I had with the baby-sitters I had here I'm sure you would understand. I just liked the way the author had with words
