Dan, the last number I saw was $139,000 equivalency of a SAHM - but that could have been a while back.

Let me tell you, I'm SO glad I stayed at home with our son - it was rough, because I was the higher income earner, but we made it through - our family was happier, and it was great for our marriage, as well.
I subbed here and there when he was younger, but we moved to the big city just before he started school, and it was not doable to keep subbing here.
Totally considered going back teaching, but you know - then it became even more important to stay at home when he was in elem.
Same thing, once he began high school. I think it's a huge reason that he's a very awesome 20 year old!

Totally agree. Being a SAHM is vey important. The only reason I drive bus Is because it is a family owned buisness and it get me out of the house for a bit. I drive to my kids school so I am able to pick them up and drop them off. I am also allowed to bring my kids who are not in school with me, I just put there car seats in the bus and away we go.

That's awesome - I plan on staying home too - I might get a part time job once my youngest is in school just for something to do - or I might volunteer and be very active in the school. I just miss the not have to explain where I spent it money lol - Sometimes I want to spend and DH is like you have a million of that and doesn't understand that its only 25 cents or something so I need more lol
