I want to start stockpiling cat stuff for my brother for next Christmas. I am wondering if 50cents/tin of Fancy Feast is a good deal or if I should hold off?

Regular Fancy Feast or Elegant Medleys?
If the reg Fancy Feast, you can get the 12 packs for $4.97 on a regular basis
It's in the Zellers flyer. It looks like just the regular kind and it's 5/$3 and then I have the save $1 WUB 10 coupon.
FallenPixels....would I be able to use that $1 off WUB 10 cans on the 12 pack...it is more than 10 cans. Or does that only count if you buy them individually?
only individually, I just work it out on a per can basis to see whats cheaper. I am still working through my stack of 25c Elegant Medleys from December
25c! My coupons are good until Dec 31, 2011, so I am going to hold off for a better deal! Thank you!
I am wondering if the canned cat food will keep that long (from now until Christmas)....

Sorry, misread - I thought you were stockpiling the catfood (guess you are stockpiling your coupons...).
Silly me! :P lol
I want to stockpile the actual food! I had no idea about shelf life....I have no idea about cats in general! ;)
I wouldn't do dry food since it has a shorter expiry date. Maybe a few bags, but I prefer not to use dry foods that have coupons anyways since they're quite bad for cats (not to ruffle a few feathers here, but *most* of them are ground up corn with a little meat covered in animal fat - cats aren't meant to eat corn). Wet food is best for them (unless you go raw/homemade cat foods).
Compared to dogs, cats are relatively cheap, litter adds up, but the stuff I use lasts 3 - 4 weeks with 3 cats. I use a pine shavings type litter and it's amazing, it's also flushable if the litter box is located near a toilet (I flushed recent poops when I had my cats litter box in my room).
