OMG...unbelievable. I can't wait until all cashiers and store managers finally understand that their companies not only get reimbursed, THEY GET PAID TO TAKE COUPONS. That's what the fine print on the back about "we'll reimburse you the face value plus our usual handling fee", etc., stuff means. And I don't hesitate to point it out to cashiers if they're being fussy...of course I'm always good for a rant anyway...but I swear, you'd think the money was coming out of their pockets.

    Keep us posted please OP!!

    Hi candygal,
Nope, my cashier's name was Grace, so it seems like this particular No Frills location is telling all cashiers to only take 1 coupon per transaction. I have written to head office already, so I can't wait to hear what they have to say.

I really hope it's not a "coupons are accepted at the manager's discretion" type of response" because i would think all no frills locations should have the same coupon policy, if not all loblaw owned stores. My cashier was rude and condescending in addition to the ridiculous 'you have to line up again to use each coupon' rule. But instead of having me take all my items off the belt re-line up, she called up customers walking by and told them it was fine to go in front of me rather than to go to the other cashiers that had no line up

Please let me know what kind of response you get back and I'll do the same

Good luck with writing to head office, I wrote almost two weeks ago now and no response yet. I don't think their online email form was even working. :/
Always looking for reasonably healthy food coupons, non-dairy products, and friendly cleaners (esp Method brand).

Yikes! If you hear anything back, please let us know, as I am very curious as to what they will say. I have used coupons at No Frills all the time, and never had an issue. I mean, I've even went there on several $1 sales and walked out with $30-$60 worth of stuff for FREE and they never made a peep about it. I hope they aren't changing their rules for coupons.

Still nada from the head office. I'm going to give them a call later this week.

Wow! Sure sounds like Loblaws really care about their customers!!

I cannot believe that happened to you guys!
How is making you line up again and again GOOD customer service? Even if it was 1 coupon per transaction and you did 10 transactions, that would take forever! How does that make things easier for the cashiers? I hope that you get a good response from head office, that is ridiculous!
I don't understand why they would do that in the first place!

Good For You!!! The squeaky chain gets the grease! Shame on No Frills! Guess business must be soooo great that they can afford to lose you and everyone you talk to, as customers!

that was horrid, here their policy is the same as loblaws, superstore etc. over ride at $10 , which is a pain as well.

It seems like lately I feel that we couponers are being treated like second-class retail citizens. Just because I use coupons does not mean I am stupid or gullible. We are smarter than to pay retail.
