Price Chopper-No websaver coupons?

Was just at my local price Choppers here after reading about clearance deals on Green Works laundry others found in other stores, and was happy to find some marked 7.99 -50% off=making them 3.99- my 3.00 websaver coupon would be $1!

BUT...upon going to the cash, cashier told me they don't take websaver coupons (she did take my save.ca one for sunlight)...asked if SPECIFICALLY websaver and she said yes (was thinking maybe she thought it was a printable)- said they have trouble getting there money back from them..

Has anyone else had this? Or do you think the cashier was confused and thought websaver was a printable (which I know they don't take)..

i stopped using coupons at price choppers some months ago because the cashier said they don't take "computer-generated coupons," namely coupons from save.ca, websaver.ca, brandsaver.ca. maybe they've been hit with fraud too many times.

Yeah, think I'll just skip it too (although I did email them asking about their policy in regards to websaver, wil post if I hear back)..just thought it was odd they take save but not websaver (I could see if they didn't accept any from mail outs).

someone posted an identical thread to this a while back and many of us use websaver coupons there and I did shortly after the thread was posted and they didnt have an issue taking them

websaver supply the coupons but they are mailed to the same redemption / coupon clearing house as all other coupons

Heard back from email I had sent to head office in regards to websaver coupons, so going to print it off (b/c according to this they do take them, at least how I'm reading it). Should I bother calling the manager or not? Or just if issue next time?

Due to the large amount of fraudulent online coupons circulating, Sobeys will not be honouring online coupons at this time. Coupons must be part of a merchandising program between the merchandiser and vendor.

Manufacturer coupons, including websaver.ca, are accepted by stores provided the issuing vendor regulations are met. Each coupon is evaluated on an individual basis by store management. If you have any concerns please feel free to speak with the store manager or franchisee where you shop who will be happy to assist you.
