Chest X-Rays for Little Ones
What a horrible couple weeks we've had here for our kids being sick :( A week and a half ago it was my son with croup, and now my poor little girl is sick.
I took her to the walk-in last night (braved the snow covered roads) because she had a fever of 103 that I just couldn't break :(. She started out with a cough on Sunday, stuffed nose by Monday morning, and a raging fever by Tuesday afternoon, so I finally decided to take her in.
The doctor had a look at her, and sent us across the road to the hospital for chest x-rays for her for suspected pneumonia.
What a contraption they have there for the little ones to get their x-rays done! They sit in this little seat with their legs through the table, mom or dad have to hold their hands up straight in the air, and the technician wraps this tube around the torso and straps everything in, all the while, my baby is screaming her head off, and mommy is almost in tears trying to console her :(.
Thankfully, the x-rays turned out negative, but I hope we never have to go through that again! She is on antibiotics, though, for an ear infection now.
