Has anyone had a hard time with coupons at Zellers Gloucester?
nope in fact I rather shop there then zeller st-laurant
Nope,
Go to the lady (early 40's) with the short blonde hair. I had no problem using all mine with her, and always go to her. She'll trust you if you go to her often, and just glances at my coupons now. Faster ! :)
As long as you go to the lady mentioned above ^ or there is also a lady with short brown hair and glasses who even took my printable Oxy coupons - even when people were having issues with them...
We need to know they're names, haha Do they wear name tags?
I had the opposite experience.
On Friday morning I went to the Gloucester Zellers to pick up some Green Works dishsoap. I had everything organized in my cart and talked the cashier through all of my coupons. She was unhappy because many of the items were going to be free after coupons but I explained that the store gets reimbursed for the full face value and she reluctantly agreed to accept them. At the end though, after we'd spent 30 minutes going through the fine print on every coupon, she refused to accept my SPC card. I had forgotten my student ID card and she would not accept my student ID number as proof. Yup, my bad I know, but in over 4 years no one has EVER asked me to produce my ID when I've used the SPC card!
Ultimately, I left without purchasing anything. Then, when I walked out into the parking lot, I found someone had smashed the right taillight on my car.
My car was parked to the left of the cart return area (so could not have been accidentally clipped by a larger vehicle) and was sufficiently far in that it could not have been hit by a cart without inflicting considerable damage to the car itself (the car was unscathed).
I will never return to that Zellers. In the end I went to the Zellers in Orleans and had no problems making my purchase.
I used to work there a million years ago!!
This is my absolute favorite Zellers to shop at!
Never ever ever ever ever again.
They HAVE to ask you your student ID, just precautions. So if you're not going back because of that, then thats silly.
That's not the sole reason. The cashier treated me like I was trying to get away with something by using coupons (I most certainly was not), the store was untidy, and my car sustained $125 in damage (the parking lot does not have security cameras).
The few times I shopped there I had no problems. One of my "purchases" were 2 free toothbrushes and 2 free tubes of toothpaste. The cashier thought it was great that I ended up getting these for free!
When I get cashiers with attitude, I simply ask for a supervisor or a manager. You are not stealing from them, yet at Zellers, they treat you as if you are. I was at the Bayshore Zellers and the woman was a witch. I asked for a supervisor and all of a sudden she went red in the face and tried to backtrack. When the supervisor came, I explained my situation, and how I don't appreciate being treated like garbage. She said she would inform the cashiers about the coupon policy.
I never have this problem with Walmart.
