ok so I just had some Quaker instant oatmeal-the maple and brown sugar kind except it's weight control because my mom wanted that. I had some and it had the funniest off taste. I looked on the ingredients and there is soy grits in it. does anyone know what that is? I have never heard of it.

personally I found it hard to get through it but maybe it tastes good to other people? I was looking forward to it and expected a similar taste. or is it my mouth? has anyone else tried it before? if you have-have you noticed a difference in taste?

well normally I don't either but with the Tropicana thing we thought it might be neat to eat it again because we used to as kids as a treat. I also ate a bunch of it when I had my wisdom teeth out yrs ago because I was getting tired of mashed potatoes and yogurt. lol not together of course. lol

but this stuff definitely didn't taste like I remember it! I quickly ate it and then reached for other stuff to get the taste out of my mouth. I guess I could have given it to the cat-he needs weight control food more than me!
j/k

do you see how chubby he's getting? I need to stop carrying him I guess. lol he's not getting his exercise. I got him a laser light though and he likes to chase things across the floor if he is in the mood. mostly he sleeps and eats and poops though. what an exciting life! lol
